Welcome to our post, we are the “Kinematic Team” and we present for you the Cylindrical Robot.

What is a Cylindrical Robot?

Well, it’s a robot whose axes form a cylindrical coordinate system. The cylindrical configuration in a robot allow it make two vertical movements and one rotational, it means that have three degrees of freedom.

The most common applications are:

  • assembly operations.
  • handling at machine tools.
  • spot welding.
  • handling at diecasting machines.
